Recycle bottles, cans and paper at Will Rogers World Airport
Travelers flying in and out of Will Rogers World Airport can help the environment by recycling their papers, bottles and cans in the terminal’s 20 new recycling bins. Passengers can throw newspapers, magazines, office and school papers, catalogs, mail and envelops into the bin designated for paper. The bin designated for plastics and cans accepts empty aluminum cans and plastic bottles 1-2 without lids.

Clean contaminated sites
The City’s Brownfields program helps spur the assessment, cleanup and redevelopment of properties like abandoned gas stations, dry cleaners, oil well sites and asbestos-filled buildings in Oklahoma City. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awards grants to help pay for the remediation.

Recycle paper
City employees are committed to reducing waste and have been recycling paper for more than a decade.

Recycle computer equipment
The City’s Information Technology Department works with Dell to recycle nonfunctioning or outdated City-owned computers, monitors, keyboards and mice. Dell then credits the value of the computer parts back to the City.
